Saturday, May 20 OR Sunday, May 21 @ 7:30 am- Folsom Tourism Bureau: 200 Wool Street, Folsom, CA: (workout directions)

  • Don't forget a water bottle and a yoga mat or towel. 
  • 7am start for 13+ pace group and half+ distance group (all paces). This will help everyone finish closer together and in cooler weather. 
  • No aid station provided. Please plan accordingly. 
  • Heat wave! Please make sure you wear light colored clothing, sunscreen, a hat and carry plenty of water. Listen to your body and adjust your workout as necessary.

Overtraining: Getting the most out of your training is a fine line between training enough and resting enough. Overtraining occurs when athletes try too hard to improve performance and train beyond the body's ability to recover. Here’s a look at overtraining and some suggestions to help avoid it.

Breathing: Most runners and walkers take notice of how their body is moving during a workout but very few keep that same attention to their breath. How you breathe during exercise can make a big impact on how you feel. Take a moment to refine your breathing technique and you may notice a big difference in your workout.

  • May 31- Celebration! Join your fellow Fleet Feet Trainees for the final workout, early packet pickup for the Women's Fitness Festival race, and a LUAU PARTY! Let's celebrate all your hard work! 
  • June 4- Women's Fitness Festival Race Day Be prepared to be pampered. Enjoy our special VIP area, meet Olympian and Asics athlete Deena Kastor and enjoy a day of fitness and fun! VIP area includes a safe place to store your belongings during the race, Vega protein smoothies and Whole Foods breakfast post race.
