Marketing Assistant

General Summary: Dynamic individual passionate about promoting our products, training programs and events to the greater Sacramento community. A great blend of working offsite at local events, in-house with our Marketing Team, and assisting with online communications.   Full Time Position.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Marketing experience (BA, BS or marketing/sales experience within the sports industry preferred)
  • An outgoing personality and great public speaking skills
  • A creative mind and general enthusiasm for fitness
  • Desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic business
  • Great decision making skills
  • Great communications skills
  • Time management & prioritization skills
  • Ability to work under pressure of deadlines
  • Computer skills (i.e.: Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, video editing, web editing)
  • The ability to learn new computer skills quickly
  • Event planning skills with attention to detail
  • A schedule that provides them the opportunity to work evenings and weekends

Job Requirements:
The purpose of this position is to execute a variety of marketing initiatives including but not limited to:

  • Fleet Feet Sports e-newsletter
  • Fleet Feet Sports website & social media
  • Planning & promoting in-house seminars
  • Plan & lead Tuesday & Saturday Fun Runs (partner with vendors)
  • Plan & execute in-store events (Diva Nights, Shoe Fittings, etc.)
  • Off-site outreach speaking engagements (Beginner’s Fitness Talks, High School programs, etc)
  • Local sponsorship acquisition
  • Create and execute various events and expos in the community
