I can't believe we have reached the end of this 8 week journey. It has been absolutely awe-inspiring to watch each of you work so hard to reach your goals; no matter what they were. I have been blown away by your dedication and determination to fight through all the pain, doubts and fears.
I want you to take a moment to reflect on everything that you have done during this time. If you reached your time goal or not, even if you got injured, no matter if this was your first or fifteenth half-marathon; you all deserve a standing ovation. You should be proud of all the hard work you invested. I applaud all of your courage, your strength and your grit. I have met some truly amazing people during this program and I feel so blessed to know that you now are all part of our extended family.
Each of your coaches would agree with me when I say we learn just as much from you as you learn from us. All of the stories, struggles and triumphs I have heard and witnessed are beyond my comprehension. My heart breaks for those currently fighting a battle. I overflow with joy for those who did more than they ever thought possible. You each inspire me daily.
Running and walking is a journey. It can take us all to some amazing places and teach us many lessons. My greatest desire is that this will be the journey of a lifetime. That you will continue to run or walk, to push outside of your comfort zone, and to stay connected to this fantastic community. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you all the best no matter where your journey takes you and I hope to see you all again very soon.

What's Next: Have you thought about what you will train for now that Shamrock'n is over? We have a variety of training programs starting up in the next few weeks that will suit your training needs. If you want to try something new and venture into the foothills then check out our Trail Heads training program. Training starts this Sunday, March 20th. For the ladies who want the VIP treatment we have our annual Kaiser Permanente Women's Fitness 5k and 10k training starting up in April. Facebook Ending: It has been fun getting to know each other at our workouts in our Shamrock'n Facebook group. However, all good things must come to an end and we will have to close our Facebook group soon after the Shamrock'n Half Marathon. We will leave it up for a week after the race - so send those friend requests and get those phone numbers so you can continue meeting up once the group is closed.
