Workout Times and Locations

  • Wednesday/Thursday, March 2nd/3rd @ 6:00 pm - 100 Howe Ave  - click here for directions
    • Don't forget a water bottle and a yoga mat.
    • It is still dark during your workout so please bring a headlamp or flashlight and reflective gear.
  • Saturday/Sunday, March 5th/6th @ 7:30 am - Fleet Feet Scaramento, 2311 J Street:  - click here for directions
    • Don't forget a water bottle, fuel and yoga mat.
    • 7:00 am start time for the 13-15 min pace and 15+ min pace groups.
    • The coaches will be discussing Race Prep after the workout so bring a pen, and a change of clothes.
    • Please note the change in location! Due to inclement weather expected this weekend we are moving the Saturday/Sunday workouts to the store so you can have your race prep indoors.

Race Goal Tips:  It is one thing to say you are physically ready for a race, but are you ready mentally? Make sure you know your goals and are mentally prepared for the race

Race Day Fueling Plan: It is important to really start thinking about your race day fueling plan. Here is a nutrition and fueling worksheet you can use to make sure you are fueled and hydrated for the big day.

Race Prep Handout: Make sure you are ready for race day. Here is all the important information you will need for your upcoming race! Coaches will be discussing this information with you after this weekend's workout. 

Brooks "Run Happy" Tip: Be adventurous this week. During one of your mid-week run/walks, go some place new. Take a friend and discover a new park, trail or river walk. Don't forget to snap a picture and put it on our Facebook page!

Sign Up for Shamrock'n Half Marathon: Have you registered for the Shamrock'n Half Marathon yet? If not, there is still time. You've worked hard, now's the time to shine!

  • Boot Camp Kickoff Information Seminar: Come join Coach Nikki Couture for a Boot Camp demo workout on Tuesday, March 1st at our weekly Tuesday Fun Run! Stay afterwards for a short seminar giving you all the details on our upcoming Boot Camp program.
  • Race Prep Talk This Weekend: If you are planning on doing the Shamrock'n Half Marathon join your coaches for a Race Prep talk after your workout on March 5th/6th. This is a good time to ask any questions or bring up any concerns you have about race day. Snacks will be provided!
  • Pre Race Party, Packet Pick Up, and Costume Contest Fun Run: Tuesday, March 8 at 6:00 pm come join Nick C. for the Tuesday Night Fun Run at Fleet Feet Sacramento sponsored by Brooks. And did we mention there will be a costume contest?? Dress in your favorite musically inspired era/band/artist for prizes and fun! Rumor has it Ellisa will be channeling her inner disco diva for the festivities...Following the fun run we will be hosting an exclusive packet pick-up party just for Shamrock'n trainees with food, exclusive shopping, games and so much more!

Discounted Cooking Classes at SNFC: We are super excited to announce that the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op has offered our trainees discounted rates for selected cooking classes! They are currently offering 4 classes at $25 each (that's almost 1/2 off!). To sign up you will need to call their registration line and let them know you are a Fleet Feet Sacramento Trainee. What's Next: Have you thought about what you will train for next when Shamrock'n is over? We have a variety of training programs starting up in the next few weeks that will suit your training needs. If you want to try something new and venture into the foothills then check out our Trail Heads program that starts the Sunday after Shamrock'n. For the ladies who want the VIP treatment we have our annual Women's Fitness 5k and 10k training starting up in April. Don't forget about our Boot Camp program with Coach Nikki that begins on March 15th and will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings. And for the Disney fans out there we are happy to announce that we will be offering a training program for the Disneyland Half Marathon this summer.
